Rolvix Browser Extension Privacy Policy

The Rolvix LinkedIn Optimizer is a browser extension that reads your own LinkedIn profile when you explicitly ask it to, sends that profile content to the Rolvix backend, and returns recruiter-grade analysis and improvement suggestions.

The extension only acts on a LinkedIn profile page you have open, and only when you click the Rolvix icon and choose to analyze. It never reads other people's profiles, never operates in the background, and never collects data in bulk.

When you click Analyze on your own LinkedIn profile, the extension reads the visible content of that page in order to build a structured profile for analysis. This may include:

• Your name, headline, location, and About section
• Your experience entries (roles, companies, descriptions)
• Your listed skills
• The page text, used as a fallback when structured extraction is incomplete

The extension does not read your LinkedIn messages, connections, feed, notifications, or any profile other than the one you are viewing and choose to analyze. It does not read your browsing history or activity on other websites.

Scraped profile content is sent over HTTPS to the Rolvix backend (rolvix.io) solely to generate your analysis. Requests are authenticated with a personal access token that you generate by connecting your Rolvix account.

We use the content to compute scores, strengths, warnings, and recommendations and return them to the extension. If you choose AI analysis, the content is processed by our AI provider for the same purpose. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

The extension stores the following locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local):

• Your Rolvix access token (so you stay connected)

Access tokens are stored on Rolvix servers only as a salted SHA-256 hash — the plaintext token is never persisted and cannot be recovered from our database.

Analysis results are returned to the extension and are only persisted to your Rolvix account if you explicitly choose to save them.

You can disconnect the extension at any time from the popup, which deletes the token stored in your browser.

You can also revoke a token server-side from your Rolvix account, which immediately and permanently invalidates it.

The extension requests the minimum permissions needed to function:

• Access to www.linkedin.com/in/* pages — to read the profile you choose to analyze
• Access to rolvix.io — to send content for analysis and receive results
• storage — to keep your access token in your browser
